Cada baile tiene sus líneas, sus ritmos, sus sentimientos. He descubierto y sigo descubriendo esta conexión de mi cuerpo con la música, el movimiento y los sentimientos. Y ahora, los intento plasmar en mis pinturas.
I have always enjoyed dancing but in very few opportunities I took lessons. As a child, my father would put me on his feet and we followed the rhythm of different kinds of music such as foxtrot, tango, etc. As a teenager, I enjoyed group classes and dancing at parties. When I lived in Brazil, I had the opportunity to learn to dance samba. But two and a half years ago, a friend of mine invited me to a free trial lesson at a ballroom dancing studio, and since then, I knew that for as long as I can, I won't stop dancing.
It has become a space for me, where I have reconnected with myself, with my body, where I experiment, I feel the music, I bring down inhibitions, I express myself and I get a thrill out of it.
Each dance has its own lines, rhythms, and feelings. I have discovered and continue to discover intricacies of my body with the music, with movement and feelings. And now, I attempt to depict them in my drawings.
Luego trabaje las geometría del movimiento partiendo de un estudio de Kandinsky.
Then I worked on the geometry of movement studying the Kandinsky's work
Y luego hice un collage con fotos de mi silueta bailando.
And later I did a collage of picture of my silhouettes dancing.
